Normal Lens

The polyoptic wheel's first setting allows the user to take normal perspective photos.   The wheel has a simple aperture (hole) that unobstructs the primary lens whenever it is turned to this setting.   Figure 4 shows Bigshot's normal lens, which has a horizontal field of view of about 43°.   The rectangular field of view from the scene (shown by the red rectangle) is mapped directly to the image sensor.   To see how lenses work, please visit the Imaging Lens section.
